According to Riot Games, this is to make sure that there is no opportunity to load cheats before starting the game. if you cant get Riot repair tool to work u you can go to "C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Riot Games\Riot Client\Logs\Riot Client Logs" and get the logs urself ,there will be files there check the latest one of them and search for setup.exe as i said before (the file should be called smth like this "T17-16-12_15160_Riot Client.log" open it using regular notepad and search for the link by pressing cntr + f and searching for "setup.Valorant will not run on a computer that does not have Vanguard, which launches as soon as players turn on their PCs.
log file using notepad after that press cntrl+F and look for " 1.4.1.95" or "setup.exe" ,you should find a link to the vanguard setup download it urself and install it this should install vanguard properly and may fix your problem ,it worked for some of my friends (ps: the riot repair tool u can find it when u try to submit a ticket they tell you to download it so go there and find it urself im not posting any links in here) , Not sure what to do at this pointĬheck this out it might help, if u cant get vanguard to install maybe try this, download Riot Repair Tool and it will dump the logs on ur desktop then look for the most recent log file, its path should look like this (C:\Users\USER\Desktop\Riot Logs\VAL-\Riot Client Logs) ,open the. Right now, Riot Vanguard is not being installed and I keep getting the same message every time I try to update valorant. I tried looking in valorant's support website but that in of it self was a mess and not very helpful. This solved their problem, but mine still has the same issue.
My friend had the same problem, so we both decided to uninstall valorant and then reinstall it. I'm not sure if it did or not because once the progress bar reached the end it gave me the same message "We couldn't install a required dependency." When I opened the valorant client it then tried to reinstall vanguard.
I then tried removing Riot Vanguard by uninstalling in "Add or Remove programs" and then made sure it was gone by running the command "sc delete vgc" and "sc delete vgk" in Command Prompt in Administrator mode. I tried restarting my computer, which didn't do anything. When I tried updating Valorant it said that "We couldn't install a required dependency"
